Enough already, the wine reveals heaps of blackcurrants, mulberries, preserved plums, dark blue and black fruit with touches of underbrush, truffles, mossy bark and bay leaves. Very earthy/mineral in the full-bodied mouth, it offers firm, ripe and grainy tannins, with great freshness, finishing long, refined and minerally.
Dave Michul keeps attesting that we landed the crown jewel block of this vineyard…and we are starting to believe that it’s not just marketing talk. This B2b block runs right up adjacent to Silverado Trail with much more rock and dusty soil that tends to stress more than the inner trough portions of the vineyard. The result is a complete, world-class Napa Valley pure Cabernet Sauvignon.
