Welcome to Krutz Family Cellars!

We are an artisan micro-winery in Sonoma County making wines from some of the most prized vineyards throughout Northern California. Started in 2003 with just 60 cases, we’ve since grown in production and family, and invite you to enjoy some real Southern hospitality by perusing our website, enjoying our wines, and coming to visit us.

• NEW: our 2009 "Akins Vineyard" Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley! As promised we have returned to Anderson Valley, a special region noted for its elegant, fragrant, complex pinot noir. We've been harvesting grapes from Akins Family Vineyard since we started making pinot noir, and we finally harvested enough in 2009 to let it have its star turn as our first single-vineyard designated Pinot Noir.
  
• Our 2009 "Sleepy Hollow Vineyard" Chardonnay, Santa Lucia Highlands is our last vintage from this acclaimed vineyard. Sad to say, but the vineyard is being replanted and, starting with 2010, we have harvested grapes from another highly lauded vineyard (closer to home for us). So don't miss out on the last vintage of an amazing run of excellent Krutz Chardonnays from the Sleepy Hollow Vineyard!
• NEW: Our 2008 "Stagecoach Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley boasts a great art label by Billy Martin of Medeski Martin & Wood, and intense, rich flavors from a cool growing season. The late harvest also meant fewer grapes ... and less wine; only 205 cases were made. It won't last long!
• NEW: The companion wine from Stagecoach Vineyard is also a new release! Our 2009 "Stagecoach Vineyard" Syrah is more like a wine from the Rhone Valley in France than a syrah from California's Napa Valley, with smoky, savory flavors equal to the ripe fruit. A wine to age 2-5 years or to enjoy with your summer grilling.
