A small change for us is our 2008 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. We remain big fans of Anderson Valley, and Akins Vineyard in particular, but we're also big fans of Sonoma Coast pinot noir. So when there just wasn't enough Anderson Valley grapes available in 2008, we took it as an opportunity to give our home county grapes a spin. It has the extract and elegance we strive for, but with the dark black cherry fruit that the Sonoma Coast is noted for. It is drinking beautifully now, with fresh, young fruit flavors that grace dishes of venison, lamb, beef, pork, salmon, and most especially turkey!
